Het Ecobijdrage bedrag zit al verwerkt in de verkoopprijs. Het betreft een Eco bijdrage bij de aankoop van een specifiek artikel. Dit bedrag wordt gedoneerd aan een Eco-organisatie welke de recycling van elektrische en elektronische apparatuur afhandeld (AEEA).
Het bedrag van de eco-participatie wordt gebruikt om de inzameling, de vervuiling en recycling van oude producten mede te financieren en te verbeteren. De hoogte van het bedrag is afhankelijk van het gekochte product.
De AEEA-eco-participatie is in België sinds 2008 van toepassing op elektrische en elektronische producten.
